Dan Chase's
X60A
This is a interesting X60A amp.
Dan says:
"My X60A originally came
with that fuzzy gray "Ozite" covering, which leads me to believe that it
was possibly manufactured in 1989 or 1990. I replaced the Ozite with a
navy blue vinyl material I found and painted the chrome corners
with "black wrinkle finish" paint. One oddity is a sticker on the back
panel indicating a "Hot Rod Modification 1B" was implemented in the
design - I have no idea what that refers to. My amp "guru" installed
5881 tubes in place of the 6L6GC's that came with it and it seems to
sound smoother to me (especially when you kick in the overdrive). I love
the sound of this amp and use it with a wide variety of guitars --
including the DC200 of course!"
