Because the electric bass was still considered a novelty in the early sixties, Carvin didn't have a lot to offer in bass amplifiers.  They did offer bass-specific cabinets, but these were designed to be used with Carvin's standard guitar amplifiers.

This is the Model #4-12-8 speaker cabinet, shown with the same amp head used on the #12-8 guitar amp.  This speaker cabinet was loaded with a pair of 8" Jensen speakers and a pair of 12" Jensen speakers. The cabinet alone sold for $99.90.  Also available was the Model #15-L cabinet, which had a single 15" James B. Lansing D130 speaker.  It sold for $159.90.
