Tony Campisi's Collection
Carvin

Another great
example of the new California Carved Top - in this case, the 2nd one ordered
from Carvin, and possibly the first with a quilt top. And what a quilt!
The umber stain with sunsetburst edges looks fantastic, and these pictures
probably don't do it justice. Other features of this one include matching
headstock, abalone block inlays on ebony fingerboard, and chrome hardware.
Nice!

Here is Tony's newest guitar - a 2005 Carvin Cobalt C980 acoustic.
It has the standard spruce top, rosewood sides & back, abalone trim
and gold hardware.

Here's a cool
kit that Tony completed in the spring of 2006. It has a swamp ash body,
stained in American walnut, and tinted with Tru-Oil and topped with Tru-Oil
spreay. It has black chrome hardware, AP11 single coils with a C22B
humbucker, and on/off mini-switch for the bridge pickup. Tony also added
his own custom logo to the headstock, which looks very cool!

This is Tony's
BC130 project. He did the paint job himself, and
loaded it with a C22B and a pair of twinblades, and
completed the look with black chrome hardware. He
says:
"This is a
1990 BC130 unfinished body I bought from Ebay in 2006. It
was purchased, by the seller, in 1991 and never used. This
model was only made for one year and at that time, was the
first bolt on neck Carvin offered in over 10 years. It was
also the year they changed from all maple bodies and began
using poplar. All parts are new Carvin production. It is
wired with a 5 way switch and the mini switch is an on- off
for the C22B. It has Sperzel locking tuners and an original
Floyd Rose Trem." |

Tony also has
Carvin sound & amplification gear, as well, including an SX200,
SX15, HT150, PB200-15, AG100D (left) and Quad X (below).
