Mike's
Collection
Carvin BBS ID: delta362
Mike has
a great collection of Carvin guitars, from a new CT6M, to a Bolt kit he
made himself. Below are each one, from newest to oldest, plus
Mike's Bolt kit.
This is
Mike's new CT6M, which arrived in September of 2004, making it
one of the earliest ones produced by Carvin. It has a mahogany
neck (which is tung-oiled) and body, with a flamed maple top finished in
Deep Triple-Step Green with matching headstock. It has gold
hardware, abalone block inlays and stainless steel frets.
Electronics consist of C22B and H22N humbuckers. Mike also added
an aftermarket mahogany truss rod cover, which mimics the CT headstock
shape, and adds a real classy touch to this one. |

Below is Mike's
2002 DC150. It has a tung-oiled mahogany neck, and mahogany body
with rounded sides. It's finished in ultra-cool pearl silver, and has
black hardware, which makes for a nice contrast. Electronics are M22T and
C22N pickups.
Next is Mike's
DC127. It has a maple neck and koa body, with a quilted maple top and
matching headstock finished in purpleburst. Hardware is chrome, and the
ebony fingerboard has abalone block inlays. Electronics consist of M22N
and M22T pickups, with the DC200 upgraded active electronics.
Last is Mike's
2001 Bolt kit. It's got a maple neck and swamp ash body, finished in
translucent blue. It has chrome hardware with Sperzel locking tuners and a
Wilkinson tremolo. Electronics consist of a C22B humbucker and a pair of
AP11 single coil pickups. Very nice!
